Privacy Policy

Tellforge is designed for parents and other adult caregivers to create stories for their children. The account holder is always an adult. Tellforge is not directed to children, and children do not create their own accounts.

Account information

Tellforge is currently invite-only. When you accept an invite, we collect your email address so we can authenticate you. During onboarding you may optionally add a display name and an avatar. You can sign in with a one-time email code, with Sign in with Apple on iOS, or with Sign in with Google on Android. In all three flows Supabase Auth verifies your identity and we never see your Apple or Google password. We don't currently support password sign-in. We use Supabase to store your session.

Story content you create

We collect the information you choose to add to your account so we can generate stories for you:

• Character name, description, gender, age range, appearance notes, and an optional reference photo
• Synopses, themes, art styles, and other story prompts
• Generated stories, illustrations, and audio narration
• Reading progress and which stories you favorite

You decide what to add. You can delete characters, photos, and stories at any time from the app.

Technical information

We log standard request metadata (IP address, device type, app version, timestamps) for security, debugging, abuse prevention, and to enforce usage limits. If you opt in to push notifications, we store a device push token so we can let you know when a story you started finishes generating. We use Sentry for error reporting.

• Generate stories, illustrations, and audio personalized to your characters and prompts
• Operate the service: authentication, syncing stories across devices, sending you stories you generated
• Detect abuse, debug errors, and improve the product

We do not use your information for advertising. We do not sell your information.

We share data only with service providers (“ subprocessors”) that help us run Tellforge. Each provider receives only what is needed to perform their function and is not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect Tellforge, our users, or the public.

If you add your child's name, photo, or other information to a character in Tellforge, that information is treated as personal information of the account holder (you), and we apply the same protections described above. Specifically:

• We do not run advertising against this data
• We do not share it with third parties for marketing
• It is stored encrypted at rest in Supabase storage and Google Cloud
• You can delete it at any time from the app

Tellforge is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly create child-controlled accounts. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it.

• Access: View everything we have about you from inside the app.
• Delete characters, photos, or stories: Delete them from the app at any time.
• Delete your account: Contact us and we will delete your account and all associated data within 30 days.
• Export: Contact us and we will send you a copy of your data.

We use Supabase Row Level Security so that each account can only access its own data. Authentication tokens are stored securely on device (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore via expo-secure-store). All traffic uses HTTPS.

If we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date and notify you in the app.
