How do I create a story?

Open the app, tap My Stories, then the + button. Pick a creation mode (Classic or Adventure), choose a theme, art style, and spark, then add one or more characters and assign roles. Tap Generate Story and Tellforge will write text, illustrate every page, and narrate it.

Why is my story stuck in “generating”?

Story generation runs as a background job and is usually finished within a few minutes. If a story stays in generating_text or generating_images for more than 10 minutes, force-quit and reopen the app — most generations resume automatically. If it's still stuck, contact us with the story title and we'll re-queue it.

Can I edit a story after it's generated?

Yes. On the story detail screen, tap Review & Edit to change the text or image prompts for any page, add a new page, or remove a page. After editing, you can regenerate images or audio for any individual page.

How do I add a character?

Go to the Characters tab and tap the + button. Add a name (required), traits, gender, and optionally a reference photo. The reference photo helps Tellforge's illustrator keep the character looking consistent across pages.

How do I delete a character, story, or my account?

Characters and stories can be deleted from inside the app — open the item, tap the menu, then Delete. To delete your entire account and all associated data, email us at cdbort@gmail.com and we'll remove everything within 30 days.

Audio playback isn't working

Make sure your device is not in silent mode and that the system volume is up. Tellforge will play audio even with the ringer switched off, but Bluetooth devices and Do Not Disturb modes can interrupt playback. If narration is still silent after a fresh app launch, tap the audio button on the story detail page to regenerate narration.

Is my child's photo safe?

Photos you upload are stored encrypted at rest, are accessible only to your account, and are used solely to keep your character looking consistent across the pages of a story. They are not used to train AI models and are never shared with advertisers. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

How do I report a bug or request a feature?

Email cdbort@gmail.com with as much detail as you can — your device, what you were doing, and a screenshot if possible. Tellforge is built by a single parent developer and every email gets read.
